Kate Snell, born in 1974 in Poland came to South Africa in early 1990s. Studied Marketing and Economics at UKZN graduating with a Bcom degree. After 2 decades working in the corporate world she decided to swap boardrooms for nurseries and started a family. Soon after her daughter Sarah was born Kate realized the need for reliable and trusted childminder placement and training agency and bought Edubabe franchise branch in Durban.
Now a mom to two tween girls and business owner of Edubabe Durban as well as flexible community workspace called The Office, Kate juggles her responsibilities as a mom and entrepreneur and wife to a offshore commercial diver. Her passions are social entrepreneurship and empowerment of youth and women. She enjoys teaching and hosting business events, organizing workshops and talks and connecting people. Over the years Edubabe Durban has been involved in many training initiatives in partnership with local baby and children homes and women shelters providing free or subsidized training to a number of women and youth.
