• American Heart Association Heartsaver & Family and Friends First Aid and CPR courses*
  *Courses presented in accordance with the standards and guidelines of the Resuscitation Council of Southern Africa (and incorporate the guidelines of the American Heart Association and the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation).
• 15 CPD points are awarded to Healthcare providers for the BLS HCP course.
• 7 CPD points are awarded to Healthcare providers for the Heartsaver courses.

These First Aid and CPR courses are aimed at those with no medical background, wanting to learn life-saving skills for their loved ones. Moms, dads, school teachers, nannies, domestic workers, office staff, sports coaches, shuttle services, day mothers and children older than 10 yrs of age, can all benefit from learning how to perform effective CPR.

A basic orientation to the skills of CPR and management of choking in adults, children and infants, are provided during these training courses. Information is provided on child safety, basic first aid, medical emergencies, injuries and environmental emergencies.

Practice safe and effective CPR with the guidance of an experienced EduMed facilitator.

*Criminal record checks in South Africa are legally required to be verified by using a set of digitally captured fingerprints. Using the Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS), fingerprints are checked electronically directly against the South African Police Services (SAPS) database. We capture these through MIE.
